To commemorate the roots of heritage and unity, StraitsKitchen has designed an iftar menu to strengthen bonds through shared meals and meaningful gatherings. StraitsKitchen offers a warm and inviting place for families, friends and colleagues to gather together to break the fast in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
The dining experience begins with a selection of traditional mezze, including rich, smoky baba ghanoush and creamy hummus, served with warm pita bread for the perfect combination of textures and flavours.
In addition to the appetisers, guests can enjoy a variety of heart-warming aromatic dishes, vibrant live stations and a selection of regional specialities featuring a variety of comforting, bold and aromatic dishes that celebrate Malay and Arabic traditions. In addition to the Malay barbecue station serving guests’ favourite chicken, beef and lamb satay accompanied by warm peanut sauce and traditional lontong, guests can also enjoy the best of Middle Eastern street food at the shawarma station serving fresh chicken shawarma wrapped in warm pita and topped with fresh lettuce, onions and tahini sauce.

Guests who want to sample a delicious and spice-filled main course can enjoy Ayam Buah Keluak, a rich and spice-packed Peranakan speciality cooked with fruit keluak spices, and Beef Rendang, a beef dish slow-cooked with coconut milk and fragrant spices. Seafood lovers will be delighted with main dishes such as Ikan Bakar, where barramundi is grilled to perfection on banana leaves and smeared with chilli sauce, and Udang Belado, stir-fried tiger prawns covered in homemade belido sauce.
To complete the feast, guests can indulge in a variety of handmade desserts, from layered baklava filled with crushed nuts and drizzled with Arabic syrup, to dense, honey-drizzled basbousa topped with roasted hazelnuts. The buffet also features a selection of traditional Southeast Asian desserts, including Pulut Hitam (black sticky rice in coconut milk), Goreng Pisang (crispy banana fritters), and Bubur Cha Cha (a soft coconut dessert with yam, sweet potato and sago pearls), alongside cold treats such as cendol and a variety of durian mochi and Nonya kueh.

In addition to the core mezze of hummus and baba ghanoush, the dinner spread is further enriched with tabbouleh, fattoush, tzatziki, feta cheese salad and warak enab (grape leaves stuffed with rice and raisins with Arabic spices). Seafood on Ice will also further pamper your palate in the evening, serving lobster, mussels and clams alongside black tiger prawns available all day.
Dishes such as Lamb Mandi (steamed basmati rice fragrant with turmeric and slow-cooked lamb, topped with pine nuts and coriander) and Sayaduyah Rice (an Arabic dish of jasmine rice cooked with prawns, barramundi and warm Arabian spices) offer a taste of the Middle East's vibrant culinary heritage, and guests can enjoy Kambing Qorma (a slow-cooked lamb dish with a creamy cashew sauce and fragrant paprika) and Mahshi Felfel (capsicum stuffed with spiced rice, dill, tomatoes and minced beef).
